Circle of Security® Parenting™
The Circle of Security is a relationship-based early intervention program designed to enhance attachment security between parents and children. They have since confirmed, through decades of university-based research, that secure children exhibit increased empathy, greater self-esteem, better relationships with parents and peers, enhanced school readiness, and an increased capacity to handle emotions more effectively when compared with children who are not secure.
Suitable for: Parents/caregivers of children of all ages

Tuning In To Kids
Tuning in to Kids is an evidence-based parenting program that focuses on the emotional connection between parents and children. In particular the program teaches parents skills in emotion coaching, which is to recognise, understand and respond to children’s emotions in an accepting, supportive way. This approach helps the child to understand and manage their emotions.
Tuning in to Kids was developed by Dr Sophie Havighurst and Ann Harley in Melbourne, Australia, and has been evaluated in multiple randomised controlled trials that have shown the program leads to positive outcomes including improving parenting, parent-child relationships and children’s emotional competence and behaviour. The program has been particularly effective with children with clinical-level emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Seasons for Growth Child and Young Person
Seasons for Growth Child and Young People Program, developed by Good Grief, is an evidence based program for children, young people or adults who have experienced significant change or loss. Seasons for Growth is based on the belief that change, loss and grief are a normal part of life.
Suitable for: Children, Teenagers, Young Adults

Seasons for Growth Parenting
Seasons for Growth Parent Program, developed by Good Grief, aims to assist parents to understand the experience of death or separation and divorce from a child’s perspective, and to learn about the most effective ways to support their child/ren.
This distinctive child-centred approach provides emotional space and a non-judgemental environment for parents to wonder, share, discuss and learn how to care for and nurture their children after separation, divorce or the death of someone they love. This program was developed by Good Grief.

The Seasons for Growth adult program builds resilience and promotes the social and emotional wellbeing of adults as they adapt to change, loss and grief in their lives. While the adult program reflects the same underlying theory as the children and young people’s program, it incorporates sound adult learning principles and a wider range of life experiences.

1-2-3 Magic® & Emotion Coaching
1-2-3 Magic is an evidence based behaviour management program which aims at teaching parents and guardians simple, precise and effective ways to manage their child or children, in approximately the 2 to 12 year age range.
123 Magic & Emotion Coaching is based on two underlying perspectives on parenting: first, that children can be taught to respond more flexibly when they are frustrated or upset and second, that parents and carers can be taught easy-to-use skills they can use at particular parenting moments.
Suitable for: Parents of children aged 2-12 years old

LOVE BiTES
LOVE BITES is an extremely successful schoolbased Domestic and Family Violence and Sexual Assault prevention program based on best practice standards for education programs as recommended by the Australian Domestic and Family Violence Clearing House and other leading academics in the area of violence against women.
This interactive and innovative program is aimed at 14-17yr olds and consists of two interactive education workshops on Domestic and Family Violence and Sexual Assault followed by creative workshops that consolidate the information from the morning.
Suitable for: Teens aged 14-17 years old

LOVE BiTES Junior
LOVE BiTES Junior is a respectful relationships education program that focuses on the development of respectful relationships for 11-14 year olds.
It is a suite of 3 programs which evolved out of the success of LOVE BiTES, a well-established respectful relationship education program designed for young people aged 11-14 years. Since LOVE BiTES was initially implemented in 2003, community feedback from across Australia has consistently included the need for respectful relationship education programs for younger students.
LOVE BiTES Junior’s 3 programs are designed to be delivered consecutively as the sessions are deliberately scaffolded to incrementally build young people’s skills.
Suitable for: Teens & pre teens aged 11-14 years old

Engaging Adolescents
The Engaging Adolescents parenting education course teaches parents what goes into forming a great relationship with their teenagers and how to broach difficult topics with teenagers and importantly, emerge in one piece! Based on scripted mediation techniques, the PASTA for teenagers’ process provides parents with a method for holding tough conversations with adolescents, where parents can deal with short term issues (such as being interrupted) and long term issues teaching teenagers how to negotiate successfully).

Drumbeat - Building resilience through rhythm
Drumbeat is an evidence-based therapeutic approach developed by the Holyoake Institute that uses music to engage participants, teach social skills and build self-esteem. The program uses drumming exercises to provide a sense of connectedness for participants with themselves and others as part of a team.
Drumbeat is a flexible program that combines experiential learning with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and engages young people and adults who may be anxious or resistant to ‘talk based’ therapies.
Suitable for: Young people and adults

Stormbirds
Stormbirds, developed by Good Grief, provides a safe space for children and young people to give a
voice to their experiences and learn appropriate knowledge, skills and
attitudes to understand and manage the changes brought about by a natural
disaster. Essentially, the program allows them to connect, communicate and
understand they are not alone. Since 2009, Stormbirds has supported many
communities following natural disasters - bushfires in Victoria, South
Australia and Western Australia; floods in Queensland; bushfires and drought
in New South Wales and the Christchurch earthquake in New Zealand.
Suitable for: Children of all ages

The Seasons for Growth Adult Program consists of two separate components:
• Understanding Change, Loss and Grief (1 x 3 hour seminar session)
• Exploring the Seasons of Grief (8 hours in total - 4 x 2 hour small group workshop sessions)
The Understanding Change, Loss and Grief seminar is designed for use in a wide variety of workplaces and community settings to deepen understandings of the nature and impact of change, loss and grief on the lives of groups or individuals.
The Exploring the Seasons of Grief program creates a safe place for participants to learn together in small groups of 4-7 adults. The program supports participants in learning about the personal impacts of change, loss and grief, whilst developing skills in communication, decision-making and problem-solving. This helps to restore self confidence and self-esteem.
Suitable for: Adults

Circle of Security® Classroom
The Circle of Security is a relationship-based early intervention program designed to enhance attachment security. They have since confirmed, through decades of university-based research, that secure children exhibit increased empathy, greater self-esteem, better relationships with parents and peers, enhanced school readiness, and an increased capacity to handle emotions more effectively when compared with children who are not secure. Circle of Security International have released a new program specifically for educators, our team are trained and experienced in delivering this program tailored to your school or early learning centre. Additional classroom coaching is available.

The Circle of Security is a relationship-based early intervention program designed to enhance attachment security between parents and children. They have since confirmed, through decades of university-based research, that secure children exhibit increased empathy, greater self-esteem, better relationships with parents and peers, enhanced school readiness, and an increased capacity to handle emotions more effectively when compared with children who are not secure.
Over 4 x 2 hour sessions, Strong Communities licensed and experienced COSP facilitators will guide you through the Circle of Security Parenting Series experience. This professional development opportunity will build your understanding of how the program is facilitated in groups when you refer your clients. As a practitioner, by attending this you will gain 8 hours of professional development with Strong Communities to confidently support your clients on their parenting journey when they attend the group programs.
Please note: Attending this 4 part series does not issue you with a licence to facilitate Circle of Security Parenting to clients
