Culture is very important to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and their connection to their new home is enhanced and deepened by strengthening their understanding of Australia’s heritage and history.
Through the “Cultural Connections” program, Stronger Together supports local multicultural communities improve their understanding and appreciation of First Nation people’s local history, heritage, culture and connections to our land and waters. The activities are centralised around a series of tours around the Gladstone region to discover Indigenous focal points, be part of storytelling circles and enjoy short walks to experience our region and its rich heritage.
