“Stronger Together” is Strong Communities Ltd’s initiative that has  a focus on supporting culturally diverse communities in the Gladstone Region.

What we do

We deliver programs, activities and events for the Gladstone Region’s culturally diverse communities and those who support them.

Building sustainable opportunities to achieve social and economic outcomes.

Information Sesions

Building legal, financial, health, wellbeing, education, employment and social support awareness.

Safe Relationships

Domestic and family violence awareness and education for CALD families and young people.

Story Telling

Community stories, ‘Humans of Gladstone Region’, podcasts and media advocacy to fight racism, prejudice and stereotypes.

Resilience Programs

Response to the Covid 19 pandemic and the impacts on migrant communities’ emotional and mental health.

SEASONS FOR GROWTH

Support through grief, loss and change.
An eight (8) week program to support multicutural communities with the emotional hardships caused by the COVID19 pandemic. Join a small group to learn about grief, building resilience, self-esteem and connect in a supportive network.

When: Wednesdays for 8 weeks from 11th May | 9:30am to 11:30am
Where: Gladstone, QLD

COMMUNITY ACTIONS FOR MULTICULTURAL SOCIETY
The CAMS program will work with diverse communities in a number of initiative as well as supporting local services, industry, government and non-government organisations increase their capacity to support culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) people and their families. The CAMS program will facilitate interagency dialogue and learning tables to improve service inclusivity, cultural competency and appropriate service delivery.
STRENGTHENING POSITIVE
PATHWAYS
The Strengthening Positive Pathways will focus on providing information, education, and connections for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) women, youth and community leaders to face domestic and family violence (DFV) challenges, maintain respectful relationships and increase their capacity to support those experiencing or at risk of experiencing DFV. The program will deliver information session, referrals, and educational workshops.
